Participation in business-related student
organizations can be an important part your university education.
Being involved in activities outside the classroom can help you learn more
about your career field and future career opportunities. And many
employers consider involvement outside the classroom to be an important
indicator of your potential, personality, and adaptability. Prospective
employers view participation in campus organizations, especially in leadership
roles, as an indicator of your capacity for leadership roles in business.
Membership in a student professional organization
can also offer additional benefits such as learning more about the your
business discipline, meeting business leaders and benefiting from their
experience, and developing closer relationships with other students and
faculty advisors. These EKUBusiness organizations have met certain
standards in order to receive University recognition and each is guided
by interested faculty members.
We encourage you to become involved in at
least one EKUBusiness organization. The earlier you get involved,
the more beneficial contacts you can establish with students, faculty,
and business representatives. Early involvement also means you will
have more beneficial educational and personal-development experiences and
will be more likely to attain leadership positions in the organization. |
