| 8:30 - 9:30 | Mr. Jack Jackson EKU Distinguished Alumnus and motivational speaker, Jack Jackson, was one of the very first black student athletes to enroll at Eastern. Although he spent most of his years in Ohio, much of his early youth was spent in the coalfields of Lynch, Kentucky, where his father was a coal miner. After graduating from Eastern, Jackson earned his Master’s Degree in History from Austin Peay State University in 1975. He has spent over 25 years in executive and managerial positions in both private and public sectors. Over the years, he has come to know that his ‘ministry’ and passion is to uplift and motivate others. Realizing that we live in a world and age of inevitable change and that many of us become overwhelmed, his creed has become, “I ASpire to INspire before I EXpire!” |
