Kentucky Regional Innovation Center Network

Fifteen Regional area Innovation Centers will extend the Department of Commercialization and Innovation Network to all corners of Kentucky. These Innovation Centers will serve as local catalysts for new economy growth and development in the non-urban regions of the state. The centers will locate in Ashland, Corbin, Elizabethtown, Glasgow, Henderson, Hopkinsville, Madisonville, Monticello, Owensboro, Paducah, Pikeville, Somerset, Springfield, West Liberty and Williamstown with service areas extending to all surrounding counties.

The Ashland Area Innovation Center (AAIC), established in January 2004, is responsible for coverage of 8 counties in the northeastern region of Kentucky. Mick Fosson has served as the IC Director since its inception.

Johnathan Gay, Director

The Morehead State University Innovation Center (MSU IC) in West Liberty was opened in May 2004. Johnathan C. Gay has led the office as its Director since it was opened.  Prior to coming to MSU Johnathan practiced law in London, KY and had served in the Army and the Kentucky National Guard as an Infantryman.
